A week shaped
around your family
One dedicated chef day at a time. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, days out, pantry, snacks and preparation are organised around how your family actually wants to spend its holiday.
No overlapping client service on a reserved Full Day Assistance day.
Planned around a 10-hour day, with extra hours added by prior agreement when needed.
The number of meals can change by day; the reserved day remains dedicated to the family.
A sample week showing how activities and menu complexity change the use of chef time.
Meet the
Harrington family
This fictional family remains intentionally multigenerational so the example can show how one household plan can work across children, a baby, adults and older relatives without creating a separate menu for every person.
Meet the sample family
Relaxed, shared and never over-formal.
Breakfast happens at different times. Lunch and dinner are enjoyed together. Most savoury dishes arrive in the centre of the table to share: generally placed together, with a few hot dishes added progressively so they are served at their best.
There is no formal sequence of individual plates and no unnecessary plate changes between savoury courses. Once the table has enjoyed the main part of the meal, it is cleared for dessert, gelato or fresh fruit.
Full Day
means flexibility
Full Day Assistance is designed around the household, not around a rigid package of three services. The team reserves the day for one family and uses the available chef time where it creates the most value.
We do not overlap clients.
Once a Full Day Assistance day is confirmed, Mery Rose Mery keeps that day for your family. We do not schedule another private client around it.
A base, not a hard ceiling.
The day is planned around approximately 10 hours of chef assistance. If the span of the day, guest count, celebration or requested menu requires longer, additional hours can be added by mutual agreement with Mery Rose Mery.
The menu follows the day.
Three-meal days naturally need simpler menus. If the family eats lunch out, the time can instead support a more elaborate dinner, pantry work, snacks or mise en place for what comes next.
Nothing is wasted.
A day out may mean breakfast only, food waiting in the fridge for the family’s return, a pantry refresh and preparation for a more complex celebration the following day.
More frequent service moments, so menus are generally streamlined and balanced to fit the available day.
More preparation time can be directed toward additional starters, sides, sauces, special ingredients or a stronger table experience.
The remaining chef time may be used for shopping, pantry organisation and mise en place for the next day while the family enjoys its plans away from the villa.
Because breakfast is served from 09:00 and dinner is normally around 19:30, some three-service days — especially for larger groups or more elaborate menus — may extend beyond the 10-hour base. Any required extension is discussed and agreed in advance.
The daily
rhythm
Meal times give the day a structure, but Full Day Assistance remains flexible. The family can dine out, change plans, request a simpler day or use the chef time toward a more involved dinner or the following day’s preparation.
Cold station available through the window, with eggs and selected hot items cooked to order. Early coffee can be arranged with the household team.
Usually lighter: salads, grilled fish/chicken, rice, pasta, sandwiches or family favourites. Shared in the centre of the table.
The more complete meal of the day: Mediterranean sharing dishes, BBQ, paella, fresh fish or a themed family table, followed by dessert or fruit.
The house manager or family contact can update timings each morning. Significant schedule changes are best shared as early as possible so preparation and shopping can be adapted.
Before your
family arrives
The week does not begin with the first breakfast. Before arrival, we organise the house, the family information and the first shopping so the chefs can start the stay already understanding the villa and the people living in it.
DAY −1 · PRE-STAY PLANNINGVilla inspection & family dossier
Villa inspection & family dossier
Before the stay, we organise the practical details of the villa and build the working family dossier that will guide the week.
- Pre-inspection of the kitchen, dining areas, BBQ and available equipment.
- Review of fridge/freezer capacity, pantry space, tableware and service areas.
- Understand the villa team: butler, house manager, housekeeping or service staff.
- Review the family itinerary, meal times, activities, meals out and special occasions.
- Collect family preferences, allergies, dislikes, children’s needs and household routines.
- Create the operational family dossier used by Mery Rose Mery during the stay.
DAY 00 · BEFORE THE FAMILY ARRIVESPre-shopping & first villa stock
Pre-shopping & first villa stock
The day before arrival, the agreed first shopping can be completed so the essential food and beverage items are already waiting at the villa.
- Breakfast essentials for the first mornings.
- Milk, coffee, tea, juices, water and agreed soft drinks.
- Fruit, yoghurt, cereals, bread, eggs and household basics.
- Children’s preferred snacks and simple familiar foods.
- Agreed wine, beer and beverage selection.
- Ingredients required for the first day’s menus.
- Initial pantry organisation so replenishment can be managed naturally through the week.
Your week,
at a glance
The experience begins before the family checks in: Day −1 is dedicated to villa inspection, planning and the family dossier; Day 00 prepares the first shopping and villa stock. Day 01 marks the family’s arrival and the start of the live daily service.
A visual view of the week before the full menus: each day shows where the family will be, how many meal moments are planned and where the reserved chef time is best used.

One villa,
one team
Some homes already have a house manager, butler, housekeepers or service staff. Others do not. Our work changes to fit the household rather than asking the household to fit us.
How we work with the villa team
| Area | Mery Rose Mery | Existing villa team | If there is no house staff |
|---|---|---|---|
| Menu & food | Menu design, sourcing, preparation and cooking in the villa. | Share the family’s plans, changes and practical information. | We work directly with one nominated family contact. |
| Breakfast | Prepare cold station and hot food to order during the agreed service window. | Can help with early coffee, table readiness, beverages and clearing as agreed. | Breakfast is designed to remain relaxed and self-explanatory; service format is adjusted to the group. |
| Lunch & dinner | Cook, finish dishes, organise family-style table flow and chef-side kitchen cleaning. | Butler/service staff may pour drinks, attend the table, clear dining ware and reset the dining area. | Family-style menus reduce formal table service. For larger groups or more formal meals, an additional waiter may be recommended. |
| Housekeeping | Leave the working kitchen clean after service. | Housekeeping can support dining-room reset, household dishwasher cycles, linen and general villa cleaning. | Responsibilities are agreed before arrival so there are no gaps between kitchen and household cleaning. |
| Pantry | Track chef ingredients and agreed food/beverage stock; flag top-ups. | House manager can approve changes or communicate household requests. | The family contact receives the same updates directly. |
What makes
it feel easy
The objective is not to turn a private villa into a restaurant. It is to remove the invisible work behind eating well on holiday while keeping the home comfortable and personal.
We learn the house.
Kitchen and dining photos, equipment, fridge/freezer space, BBQ, table capacity, coffee setup, household staff and the family’s first-day timing.
We keep listening.
The menu is not locked for ten days. Every 2–3 days we can review upcoming plans, favourites, what the children actually ate and any change in appetite or schedule.
We adapt.
Picnic breakfasts, an early lunch, a later dinner, paella day, birthday cake, beach-day food or a lighter meal after a long lunch can all be built into the rhythm.
Planning
questionnaire
This is the information that turns a generic menu into a household plan. The form is intentionally practical: family, food, timings, pantry, villa equipment and who will be helping in the house.
